The Cast of Wonderfalls

I’ve watched all thirteen episodes in the last three days or so. It’s a marvellous, marvellous show and I recommend it, not least because it actually ends properly! Closure! Awesome!

Bryan Fuller’s now two for two in really good TV series, I think I have to start Dead Like Me or Hannibal or something next.

Adventures

Today,

My sister turned 20, leaving her teen days behind (and we had spontaneous gelato!)

My Ele left for Jordan on an epic trip (and I didn’t get to see her off… damn it, international security, why must you be so time consuming?)

and
My oldest friend, who I’ve not been close to for many years, got married to her girlfriend in New York.

Also there was a surprise Koala lunch (“First meeting of the year! Okay, first order of business, everyone say heeeeeyyyy.” “Heeeeyyyyy”). Wednesday, you were not what I was expecting.

The marvellous and inspiringly high-achieving Ella just posted a link to this new site, The Global Mail, for which she is apparently now working as a web producer. It’s a gorgeously designed website, and I’d appreciate it for that alone except it’s also full of awesome journalism. Here’s the site’s mission statement:

The Global Mail is a philanthropically funded, not-for-profit news and features website. Our mission is to deliver original, fearless, independent journalism.
We will strive to inform, provoke, expose — and entertain. Our audience is our only agenda. We have no advertisers to answer to, nor shareholders who seek to profit. And our generous philanthropic benefactor has no interest in what journalism we produce. What The Global Mail produces will be the evidence of that.

Basically you should all check it out!
